Margaret G Duncan

Born October 10, 1913 in Pekin to George and Isabelle (Ross) Watson, she married Mungo Duncan on July 5, 1940 in Pekin. He died December 5, 1981. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one son (Stephen James Duncan on September 9, 2002), seven brothers, and two sisters.

Surviving are two daughters, Pamela (Alan) Hootman and Becky Phillips, both of Pekin; four grandchildren, Dawn Hootman and David Hootman, both of Pekin, Yvonne Gall of Gurnee, and Bonnie Duncan of Chicago; and five great-grandchildren.

A homemaker, Margaret loved to read, especially her Bible. She also enjoyed reading history.

She was a former member of Grace Evangelical Church in LaSalle.

Her graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2010at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in LaSalle. The Rev. Dr. Steven Hauter will officiate. There will be no visitation.

Arrangements are by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
