Born on June 5, 1931 in Omaha, Nebraska, she was the daughter of Alice and Engle (Jagla) Wilcox. She married William Armstrong of Muscatine, Iowa in 1949 and moved to Peoria, where they raised eight children. He preceded her in death, along with their children, Mike Armstrong, Ted Armstrong, Carla Armstrong, and Gary Armstrong; one brother, Robert Wilcox and one sister, Barbara Vogt.
She leaves behind her beloved children, Tom (Tess) of Portland, Maine, Jack Armstrong of Peoria, Karen (Wright) Bovee and Sandra Armstrong of Peoria; and her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Margie will be remembered for her kind and generous heart, her humor, her strength, and most of all, the love that she had for her family.
A Celebration of Life will be held for friends and family. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
