

Born January 10, 1932 inMacombto Robert Marshall and Helen Frances (Justus) Farr, she married George Donald Hoffman on November 26, 1953 in Astoria. He died April 19, 2000 in Morton. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one son, Kevin Hoffman.
Surviving are one daughter, Kim (Keith) Diegel of Pekin; two grandchildren, Mindy Diegel of Baltimore, Maryland, Daniel (Jillian Estes) Diegel of South Pekin and one sister, Phyllis Peak of Rushville.
Marian had worked as a Special Education Teacher’s Aide for Peoria Public Schools District 150 for many years.
She was a charter member on the school board of Rainbow’s End Preschool at Creve Coeur Christian Church. She was also a 60-year member of the Sweet Adeline’s Barber Shop Chorus.
Marian enjoyed sewing and singing. She found great enjoyment spending cherished time with her family.
She was a longtime member of Creve Coeur Christian Church.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Sunday, July 12, 2020 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor John Plunkett will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Guidelines regarding social distancing and masks will be followed. Burial will be at Meadow Lawn Cemetery in Manito.
