PEKIN ~ Marion L. Hibbs, 81, of 4082 Nottingham Drive in Decatur, passed away at 8:05 p.m. Saturday, February 17, 2007 at the Sullivan Health Care Center in Sullivan. She was formerly of 1226 Howard Court in Pekin.
Born December 23, 1925 in Pekin to Robert and Grace I. (Dikes) Kearney, she married Harold L. Hibbs on November 28, 1942 in Cahoka, Missouri. He died on August 6, 2002 in Pekin. She also was preceded in death by one daughter, Sandra Sue Edmiston on April 5, 1999 in Pekin; one brother and five sisters.
Surviving are her brother, Dewey J. Kearney of Pekin; three grandchildren, Robin (Ronald) Trimmer of Decatur, Leslie Seelye and Richard Edmiston, both of Pekin, and thirteen great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren.
A homemaker, Marion was a beautician for many years.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, February 23, 2007at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel, where visitation will be one hour before. The Rev. Judy Doyle will officiate. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
