Marjorie M Faichney

NORTH PEKIN ~ Marjorie Maxine Faichney, 95, of 135 Sunset Boulevard, passed away at 3:40 p.m. Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Farmington Country Manor.

Born July 19, 1915 in Brown County to Granville and Kate (Sharb) Brown, she married William R. Faichney in 1936 in Peoria.  He died in September of 1983 in Peoria.  She also was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Ronald W. Faichney, one brother, two sisters, one grandson and one granddaughter.

Surviving are two sons, Tom (Donna) Faichney of Pekin and Bill (Rosemary) Faichney of North Pekin; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Marjorie was a cook for North Pekin School District #102 for several years.  She also had worked as a telephone operator in North Pekin.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin.  She also was a member of the Pekin Women of the Moose #673.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 24, 2011 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.  Father James Pankiewicz will officiate.  Visitation will be one hour prior to services.  Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
