Martha L Curry

Born March 4, 1921 in Obion County, Tennessee to William Lee and Martha Eugenia (Heflin) Baulch, she married Joseph Roberts Curry on December 24, 1938 in South Fulton, Tennessee. He died June 14, 1998 in Pekin. She also was preceded in death by three daughters, Bettie L. Curry, Virginia R. Retzer and Mary K. Storck; one son, Robert L. Curry; and one sister, Sybil Smith.

Surviving are four sons, Larry J. (Jane) Curry of Fairborn, Ohio, Jerry D. (Betty) Curry of Athens, Alabama, Carl D. (Mary) Curry of Laurens, South Carolina and William E. (Donna) Curry of Lexington; seventeen grandchildren and thirty two great-grandchildren; and two sons-in-law, Vernon Retzer of Pekin and Phillip Storck, Jr. of Washington Township, Michigan.

Martha was an active member of the Pekin Church of Christ and enjoyed being involved in their many activities.

A homemaker and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Martha enjoyed spending time with her family.

Her funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Her sons, Larry Curry and Jerry Curry will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
