
PEKIN ~ Martha Lorraine Wagner, 76, of 230 Court Street, Apartment 1008, passed away at 12:40 a.m. Sunday, April 13, 2008 at Pekin Hospital. Born June 6, 1931 in Pottstown to Harley Arvin and Mary Belle (Bennet) Howell, she married George Anderson Wagner on September 25, 1948 in Alton. He died May 2, 1974 in Hopedale. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one son (David Eugene Wagner), three sisters (Marilyn DeWitt, Marie Hiesle, and Velma McConnaughay), and seven brothers (George Flier, Russell Flier, Raymond Flier, Jesse Flier, Kenneth Howell, James Howell, Richard Howell). Surviving are one daughter-in-law, Marsha L. Wagner of Pekin; one grandson, David A. Wagner of Pekin; one great-granddaughter, Kiera L. Rhoades of North Pekin; one sister, JoAnn (Ralph) Wilson of Bellevue; and three brothers, Lee Flier and Ralph Flier, both of Pekin, and Bob (Shirley) Flier of Bartonville. Martha worked for Key Industries in East Peoria for over nine years, last working as a supervisor in the badge department. Previously, she worked as a machine operator at Rivial in Morton. Martha enjoyed crocheting, quilting, and sewing. Her graveside service will be held Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at Green Valley Cemetery. The Rev. Terry C. Edele will officiate. Arrangements have beenentrusted to the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel.
