

Born March 10, 1919 in Lowell, Massachusetts to Primo and Columba (Briganti) Stecchi, she married James S. McKinley on December 7, 1942 in Tallahassee, Florida. He died November 26, 1988 in Pekin. She also was preceded in death by six brothers, David, James, Frank, Harry, Johnnie and William and three sisters, Inez, Norma and Maria.
Surviving are three sons, Thomas L. (Vicki) McKinley and Donald D. (Debra) McKinley, both of Pekin and David W. (Linda) McKinley of Dunlap; one daughter, Kathleen (David) Clowers of Dallas, Texas; ten grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren;twelve great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Eileen Lynch of Lowell, Massachusetts.
She had worked with her husband at McKinley TV Repair for many years.
A member of the William Schaefer American Legion Post 44 Ladies Auxiliary, Mary was a former member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 673, both in Pekin. She was an avid bowler.
Mary was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Pekin.
Her memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 21, 2013 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Steve Welker will officiate. There will be no visitation. Private burialwill be inLakeview Cemetery in Pekin.
