Mary Reeser

She was born February 4, 1941 in Galesburg to Harry E. and Susan E. (Wilkins) Davis. Mary is preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Cindy Franklin; one grandson, Wesley Bernius and one brother.

Surviving are one son, Jerry A. Bernius, Jr. of East Peoria; two daughters, Tamara Bernius of Galesburg and Ruth Ann Hardwick of Pekin; five grandchildren, Niesha, Ashley, Erica, Micki and Destiny; ten great-grandchildren; one sister and one brother.

Mary was a current 30 plus year member and past president of Fraternal Order of Eagles Peoria Aerie #265 Women’s Auxiliary in Peoria,where she was very active.

She last worked at Western Ave. Cleaners in Peoria.

Mary enjoyed spending time with family and friends, sewing, working puzzles and playing shuffleboard.

Her graveside funeral will be at 3 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2017 at Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria. Pastor Mike Klopfenstein will officiate. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Friday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
