Michael Willis Friedrich

He was born August 17, 1952 in Peoria to Willis and Mildred (Bentlin) Friedrich. His parents preceded him in death as well as one brother-in-law, Bill Love and his second wife, Frances (Grunloh) Friedrich.

Surviving are his three children, Travis (Stefanie) Friedrich of Heyworth, Jasen (Billie) Friedrich of Canton and Kymberly Smith of Humbolt, Tennessee; seven grandchildren, Math Smith, TJ Mayberry, Trinity Friedrich, Ella Friedrich, Parker Friedrich, Sophie Friedrich and Wesley Friedrich; and one sister, Linda (Terry) O’Brien of Bartonville.

Michael worked for Caterpillar, Inc. on the labor line for 28 years, retiring in the early 2000’s.

He was a member of St. John’s (Sand Prairie) Lutheran Church in rural Green Valley.

Michael loved his grandchildren; he was an avid gift-giver and loved going out to eat with family. He also enjoyed going on walks, playing video games, and a Chicago Cub’s fan.

A private graveside service will be held at Sand Prairie Cemetery in rural Green Valley.
