Michael Grant

Born March 28, 1950 in Kewanee to Elige Lee and Virginia Marie (Tracy) Grant he married Valerie Ann Milroy on February 20, 1982 in Wyoming. She died August 12, 2017 in Wyoming. He was also preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Patricia Orr and one brother, Larry Grant.

Surviving are three daughters, Jamie (John) Samuels of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Amanda (Dave) Zimmermann and Hannah (Nick Ulrich) Peed, both of Fort Dodge, Iowa; seven grandchildren, two siblings, Roy (Linda) Grant and Joyce Blakey, both of Wyoming.

Mike was a self-employed contractor for 50 years and was owner and operator of Mike Grant Excavating in Wyoming, retiring in 2014.

He was a 1968 graduate of Wyoming High School and enjoyed playing cards and golfing.

A gathering celebrating Mike’s life will be at noon on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the Church of the Nazarene in Wyoming.

Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
