

She was born June 30, 1949 in Peoria to Freeman and Opal (Hillary) Churchill. She was preceded in death by her parents; one infant sister, Theresa Churchill and two brothers, Dennis and Thomas Churchill.
Surviving are one son, Brad (Kristi) Bennett of Pekin; one daughter, Barbie (Chad) McCarty of Del Rio, Tennessee; four granddaughters, Kiley and Katey McCarty, both of Pekin, Audrey McCarty of Del Rio, Tennessee and Kambell Bennett of Pekin; one brother, Steven Churchill of Pekin and two sisters, Marilyn (Kenneth) Roberts of Pekin and Judy (Stephen) Hibser of Mapleton.
Nancy worked as a custodian for Spring Lake School in Manito and drove a bus for Tazewell-Woodford Head Start for many years.
She enjoyed crocheting, reading and gardening. She thoroughly loved spending time with her beloved dog, Chelsey.
Her graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria. Pastor John Vaughn will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday evening at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
