Nancy Jean Renard

Nancy was born on March 20, 1959 in Des Moines, Iowa to Richard Spencer and Mary (Comer) Hixenbaugh.

Surviving are her three children, Kenneth “Shane” Spencer of Spring Bay, IL, Shandra Spencer and Ryan Mcmahan of Chillicothe, IL, and Thomas (Tiffany) Whitby of Batesville, AR; four brothers, Rick (Nancy) Spencer of Sunnyland, IL, Dave Spencer of Peoria, IL, Bob Spencer of Sunnyland, IL, and Kenneth (Sheila) Spencer of Washington, IL; her eleven grandchildren, Samantha, Nicholas, Christopher, Johnathan, Anna, Logan, Autumn, Tristen, Raymond, Thomas, Benjamin, and two great-grandchildren Elodie and Maverick.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jeffrey Renard.

Nancy worked at Peoria Plastics for 15 years and then Peoria Barge as a Longshoreman for 25 years. Nancy and Jeff both took pride in making their house a home and would spend endless hours working on every area of their house. When she took a vacation she spent the time at home on any DIY project she could get her hands on. In her free time she loved spending time with her family. Whether that be a cookout with more food than we could ever eat, pool days and popsicles, shopping days, and a good movie on the couch. She also had a green thumb, she could grow beautiful flowers, giant sunflowers and the best tomatoes.

Per Nancy’s wishes there will be no public services. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
