

Born January 2, 1932 in Shelby County to Willis and Nellie (Saunders) Wirey, she married Georgie E. Malin on August 26, 1950 in Pana. He died January 18, 1980. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sons, George Malin and John Malin, in infancy; and one brother, Merrill Wirey.
Surviving are one daughter, Nancy (Melvin) Baker of Emden; one son, James (Cindy) Malin of Glasford; seven grandchildren, Michelle Clark and Jake Malin, both of Glasford, Chris Malin and Mark (Sarah) Baker, both of East Peoria, Michael Malin of Denver, Colorado, Brian Baker of Madison, Wisconsin, and Sara Malin of Pekin; two great-granddaughters, Megan and Lexie; and one sister, Viola Armstrong of Pana.
Naomi providedbabysitting services inherhome for many years.
She was a member of the Glasford United Methodist Church, Glasford Over 50 Club, Glasford Area Boosters, and the Glasford Senior Citizen’s Center.
Naomi enjoyed taking walks, was an avid reader and vegetable gardener, and cherished the time spent with her family.
Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 6, 2013 at the Glasford United Methodist Church. The Rev. Walter Wilkins will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday and also from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, both at the church. Graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Linwood Cemetery in Pana.
Arrangements are by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
