Omar Jazany Cisneros-Hernandez

He was born August 22, 2005 in Aurora to Omar and Maria (Hernandez) Cisneros.

Surviving are his parents of Pekin; five sisters, Ivany, Camilla, Stephanie, Julianne and Leah E. Cisneros-Hernandez all of Pekin; one brother, Leonardo F. Cisneros-Hernandez of Pekin; his maternal grandfather, Jorge Hernandez Oregel; his paternal grandmother, Elda Diaz Vargas and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Maurilia Ramirez Marin and his paternal grandfather, Fermin Cisneros Casillas.

Omar was a 2023 graduate of Pekin Community High School and was scheduled to start ICC this spring.

He enjoyed playing soccer and fishing. He mostly cherished being a big brother and playing golf with dad.

Omar had spent the last two years working at McDonald’s in Morton.

His funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Cathedral of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Peoria. Father Thomas Gibson will be the celebrant. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday evening at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Additional visitation will be from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday morning at the church. Burial will be at Prairie Haven Cemetery in Pekin.

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
