

Born December 24, 1939 in Pekin to Robert Allen and Mildred “Millie” (DeSanctis) Meyer, she married Wendy Bouhl after 40 years of being together. She survives.
Also surviving is one sister in-law, Toshie Meyer; one niece, Joyce (Timothy) Ricci of Pekin; one nephew, David Ricci of Pekin; one daughter, Catharine McGhee of California; three grandchildren, Kenny Staal, Rachel Staal and Ryan Staal; three great-grandchildren, Little Kenny, Mary and Nicolas; and dear lifelong friends and neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Ted Meyer, Marshall Benassi and Marion Benassi and two nephews, David Meyer and Jeff Meyer.
A Pekin Community High School graduate of 1957, Patricia had worked as a mail carrier for 27 years, retiring in 1992.
Patricia played softball for Producers Dairy, loved fishing, tending to her garden and taking care of her arch nemesis, weeds. Traveling with Wendy was important to her as well; camping in the motorhome and 5th wheel to Port Aransas, Texas and Punta Gorda, Florida.
Her visitation will be from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. The funeral service will follow at 5:30 p.m. with Reverend Steve Barch officiating. Cremation will be accorded following the service. Inurnment will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin at a later date.
