Patrick Hayes

Born November 26, 1949 in Chicago to Frances Virgil and LaVerne (Mahr) Hayes, he married Laura Worrel in Colchester. She preceded him in death. He also was preceded in death by his parents; his step-father, who raised him, Charles Ehmpke; one son, Steven Hayes; his sister, Cindy Ehmpke; and his brother, Paul Hayes.

Surviving are two daughters, Dawn Hayes Clark of Macomb and Amanda Johnson of Quincy; three sons, Patrick (Nicole) Hayes, Michael Patrick Hayes and Sean Patrick Hayes, all of Macomb; three sisters, Sandra (Leslie) Yocum of Plymouth, Bonnie (James) Capps of Huntsville and Christine (Randy) McKay of Macomb; one brother, Chuck Ehmpke of East Moline; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Patrick had attended the Presbyterian church in Macomb.

He had worked as a self-employed painter.

He loved hanging out with his friends and family.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, December 27, 2014 at the VFW at 1200 E. Jefferson St. Macomb, IL 61455. Cremation rites were accorded. Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin is in charge of arrangements.
