Pauline Gibson, 75, of Golden, Mississippi, died Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at Southern Magnolia Estates in Golden. She was born July 23, 1935 in Pekin, Illinois to Montel and Mary Pauline Fife Baker. She married Vernon J. Gibson June 5, 1954 in Pekin. He preceded her in death September 3, 1991. Surviving are one son: Paul (Rhetta) Gibson of Pembroke, Georgia; two grandchildren: Patrick Gibson and Shauna (David) Gibson Williams; four great-grandchildren: Christian Gibson, Hunter Gibson, Riley Williams and Ethan Williams; and special friends and caregivers: Jimmy and Ella Berry. She was preceded in death by her parents. Pauline was a homemaker and secretary at Reskin Elementary School in Glendale Heights, Illinois for 14 years. She was a member of New Union Missionary Baptist Church and the American Rose Society. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 20, 2010 at Woolsey Funeral Home in Pekin with the Rev. Michael Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.
