

Born December 10, 1947 in Peoria to Lloyd Eugene and Ruth Othelia (Peterson) Kisler, she married John Lee (Jack) Lambert, her beloved and dedicated caregiver, on May 11, 1968 in Peoria. The world has not seen a deeper, more devoted love. He survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Amy Jo Lambert, Jennifer L. (Michael) Rudzinski, both of Washington and Marnie J. (Eric) Kells of East Peoria; three grandchildren, Maggie Rudzinski, Joseph Rudzinski, and Ean Kells; two brothers, Robert (Betty) Kisler of Peoria and David (Wendy) Kisler of Washington and one sister, Marilyn (Terry) Gaddy of Gridley.
Her parents preceded her in death.
For more than a decade, Phyllis worked in management for Marquette Group in Peoria.
A very loving mother,she always met the world with an elegant appearance, a beautiful sense of style, and a down-to-earth mindset. Even during her illness, Phyllis enjoyed life in a beautiful backyard nurtured by her husband, a master gardener. She loved watching the animals and birds that gather there. Hummingbirds were her favorite. Her mad sense of humor, intelligent competitive nature, and extensive vocabulary made Scrabble especially dangerous and crossword puzzles collaborative missions.
A memorial visitation will be held from4 to 6 p.m.Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur. The family requests friends wear casual attire. There will be no services.
