He was born on February 25, 1958 in Peoria to Ronald Dean and Dorris Mae (Watson) McCartney. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Kathy Bessler and one sister-in-law, Kelley Ann McCartney.
Surviving are two daughters, LeeAnn (Marcus) Diaz of Brookville, Ohio and Erica Lawrence of Peoria; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one brother, Rod McCartney.
Randy was a veteran of the United States Navy serving for eight years.
He had worked in logistics and transported parts. He enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs and spending time outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.
Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. There will be no service.
