She was born on October 9, 1962 in Hopedale, the daughter of James and Carolyn (Druley) Sanders. Rebecca married Michael Stieghorst in 1999. He survives.
She was preceded by her parents; one brother Bill Sanders and one sister Deborah.
Rebecca is survived by her husband, Michael Stieghorst of Tremont; one sister Teresa (Tom) Reed of Monticello and several nieces and nephews.
She was a member of the Mennonite Church in Dillon. Rebecca was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and everything to do with plants.
Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory of Pekin. No services will be held at this time.
