Born July 31, 1945 in Anna to Robert Louis and Dorothy (Jones) Lamer, she married Vernon Leroy Doubet on April 11, 1962 in Las Vegas. He survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Tamara Lynn “Tammy” (Mark) Banks of Portland, Texas; two sons, Doug Alan Doubet of Peoria and William “Bill” (Kimberly) Doubet of Washington; twelve grandchildren, Tiffany Gardner, Mike Nutt, Sandra Banks, Brad Doubet, Catlyn Slavens, David Doubet, Luke Doubet, Erin Nisewonger, Katie Heinold, Jeremy Banks, Mark Banks and Rachel Collins; thirty-four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. She also leaves her stepfather, Fred Hall of Decatur.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Roger Lamer.
A beautician for more than 45 years, Becky first worked with her mother in her shop at age 16. She last had a shop at Pekin Estates and retired in 2007.
Becky was a loving grandmother who will be remembered as awesome cook and that she loved gardening. She also was fond of her pets and golfing. She had several hole-in-ones.
She was a person of faith and loved Jesus. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Josh Beutow will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the funeral. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
