

He was born May 16, 1953 in Peoria to Collin Eugene and Pansy (Harris) Bloodworth. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Diane Lynn.
Surviving are one daughter, Stephanie (Neal Minton) Cook of Pekin; eleven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Patricia (Al) Krumwiede of East Peoria; and one brother, Bob (Kay) Bloodworth of Pekin.
He was a graduate of East Peoria High School and had served in the United States Army. He later worked as a laborer in masonry for many years in the area.
A happy guy, Richard enjoyed life and was a jokester to a fault. His biggest joy was being with his grandchildren. In his youth, he enjoyed hang gliding and later owned Illinois Gliders South, where he helped others to learn the sport. He also had been a lifetime member of the Isaac Walton Conservation Club's Woodford County chapter.
Richard arranged to have his body donated to medical science. There will be no visitation or services. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
