He was born on October 12, 2025 in Canton.
Richard is survived by his daughter, Brandee (Kevin) Swisher of Pekin; four grandchildren, Zachary (Nicole Brandt) Brooks of East Peoria, Cameron (Megan) Swisher, Mya Swisher, Ty Swisher, all of Pekin; and one great-granddaughter, Avery Lane Brooks.
He was preceded in death by his son, Richard Kent Brooks, Jr.
Richard worked as a truck driver for 30 years, last working for Airland in Morton. He retired in 2006.
There are no services planned at this time. Arrangements are entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
