Richard "Dick" Gamage

Born October 21, 1940 in Macomb to Louis A. and Wilma (Dorsett) Gamage, he married Sharon Elaine Lawrence on April 23, 1961 in Macomb. She survives.

Also surviving are four children, Lynn Ann (Allen) Risenberg of Audubon, Iowa, Pastor Barry Lee (Janice) Gamage, Katie B. Sanders and Kimberly J. Crowe, all of Pekin; thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and one sister, Penny Gamage of Galesburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Dick worked for Pekin Insurance for 35 years retiring in 2001 as a field manager in life sales.

He had a love for horses and in retirement enjoyed riding motorcycles. Dick also enjoyed looking for hidden treasures with his metal detector.

Dick was a member of New Pointe Church.

His celebration of life memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, February 24, 2025 at New Pointe Church in Pekin. Pastor Jim Hawkins will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 6:45 p.m. Monday at the church. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin with private inurnment held in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
