SOUTH BELOIT~ Richard Joseph Marshall, 63, of South Beloit, Illinois, formerly of Pekin, passed away at 2:39 a.m., Thursday, September 26, 2019 Agrace Hospice and Palliative Care in Janesville, Wisconsin.

Born April 16, 1956 in Peoria to Eugene and Elizabeth (Dolan) Marshall. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Kathleen Milkereit; one brother, James Marshall.

Surviving are one son, Michael Marshall of Vancouver, Washington; four sisters, Maureen (Dale) Trovillon of Deer Creek, Peggy (Greg) Horchem of Dallas, TX, Nancy Sisco, and Deborah (Billy) Shindledecker, both of Pekin and two brothers; John Marshall of Pekin and Eugene (Judy) Marshall of Pensacola, Florida.

A 20-year Navy veteran as an airplane mechanic, he was honorably discharged in 1996.

He enjoyed woodworking in his free time and always took the time to learn something new.

His funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Father John Twinomnjuni will officiate. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service from 9:00 to 10:15 a.m. Burial will be held at War Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Pekin.
