Roger D Moore

Born November 2, 1956 in Pekin to Esme Eugene and Emma Lou (Hosford) Moore, he married Rhonda Rhodes on July 11, 1976 in Pekin.  He later married Evelyn Stone on April 1, 1982 in Pekin.  He married Rhonda again in 2005.

Surviving are one daughter, Pennie (Cory Parish) Moore of Pekin; one step-son, Bill Baker of Pekin; one sister, Carol (Ken) Brandt of Las Vegas, Nevada; one nephew, Durk Brandt; and one great-nephew, Trevor Brandt.

His parents preceded him in death.

He was a 1975 graduate of Pekin Community High School.

Roger worked at Fleming and Potter in Peoria for 28 years, last working as a shipping clerk.  He later worked for Sud’s and Midwest Parts, both in Peoria, and as a painter’s helper at Sandrock Autobody in North Pekin.

A member of the Midwest Cruisers Car Club, he was proud of his 1966 Ford Mustang GT.  He also was a member of the Pekin Moose Family Center #916.

Roger was a fan of NASCAR.

His funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.  Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tazewell Animal Protective Society, 100 TAPS Lane, Pekin, IL 61554.
