

Born September 22, 1935 in Pekin to Earl Andrew and Margaret Louise (McGinley) Sisk, he married Charlene May Michel on June 21, 1964 in Pekin. She died April 3, 1994 in Peoria. He was also preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Kathleen Diegel; and three brothers, Richard Sisk, Robert Sisk, and Clifford Sisk.
Surviving are one son, Timothy Michel (Jill) Sisk of Tremont; one daughter, Janey Lynn (Rick) Myers of Pekin; five grandchildren, Zackary Michel Sisk, Chase Michel Sisk, Bryc Alan Myers, Riley Otis Myers, and Isabella Marylene Sisk; and one sister, Phyllis (Larry) Vanderwerf of Pekin.
He had served in the United States Army from 1959 to 1961.
Roger worked at Bergner’s for 31 years, retiring in 1998 as the human resource manager of the Pekin store.
He had been a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Pekin.
Roger enjoyed baking, and making crafts and flower arrangements. He also enjoyed watching hockey on television and when his grandchildren played.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin, where military rites will be accorded.
