Roy Dean Garrison

PEKIN ~ Roy Dean Garrison, 87, of Pekin, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2025 at his home. He was born on August 11, 1938 in Raymondville, Missouri, a son of Homer M. and Amy Pearl (Scott) Garrison. Roy married Gloria Tucker on April 19, 1957 in Pekin. She preceded him in death on June 14, 2009 in Pekin.

He was also preceded in death by his two sons, Rick Garrison and Terry Garrison; great-grandson, Chase Rhodes; great-granddaughter, Hayley Garrison; one daughter-in-law, Cathy Garrison; two brothers, Herb Garrison and Donald Garrison; and one sister, Edna Yeakel.

Roy is survived by his three children, Gail (Ivan) Miller, Judeena (Ronald) Rhodes, and Richard Garrison, all of Pekin; nine grandchildren, Ivan (Buddy) Miller, Sarah (Chris) Cummins, Ronald (Jen) Rhodes, Richard Garrison, Jr., Stephen (Lesa) Garrison, Elizabeth Sharp, Chelsea Garrison, Terry (Veronica) Garrison, and Tyler Garrison; 17 great-grandchildren.

He worked in maintenance for Morton Metalcraft for over 20 years, retiring in 2006.

Roy loved to fish, boar hunting, and recreational shooting.

Cremation has been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory.
