

Born January 22, 1959 in Pekin to Ronald “Ron” Gregory and Nancy (Weithe) Gregory, he married Renee Hayn on June 9, 1984 in Wichita, Kansas. She survives.
Also surviving are his mother, Nancy Burlingame and his step mother Paula Gregory; four children, Chris Johnson of Arkansas, Scotty (Nicole) Gregory of North Pekin, Stephanie (Kyle) Wolfe and Samantha Gregory, both of Manito; 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; one sister, Teresa (Pat) Kellerstrass of Pekin; two half siblings Niki (Rolly) Knobloch of Tremont, and Matt (Lisa) Gregory of Mahomet and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ron Gregory and nephew, Wesley Kellerstrass.
Scott worked as a concrete finisher, before working as a field representative for Local #18. He was passionate and proud about his work.
He took great pride in helping out the community, where he coached wrestling, football and was a mentor to many. He was a member of the River City Blues Society in Peoria for many years.
Scott also volunteered at Illinois Central College helping get kids into the trades program. He loved listening to music, riding motorcycles and playing the lottery. He also enjoyed cooking for his catering business, Sammy Lynn Smokehouse.
Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
