

PEORIA ~ Scott Allan Henderson, 37, of 6500 North University Street, Apartment 501, passed away at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 2009 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was formerly of Pekin.
He was born July 18, 1971 in Pekin to Robert Wayne "Bob" and Mary Jane (Muntz) Henderson.
Surviving are his parents, Bob and Mary Henderson of Pekin; one brother, Jeffrey (Lisa) Henderson of Schaumburg; one sister, Beth (Sean) Smith of West Peoria; two nieces, Jaylyn Smith and Paige Smith; one nephew, Robert "Robbie" Henderson; grandparents, Maurice and Mary Henderson of Streator; and his best friend, Jason Logue of Peoria.
His grandparents, Arthur and Jeanne Muntz, preceded him in death.
A 1989 graduate of Pekin Community High School, Scott attended Illinois Central College in East Peoria.
Scott worked at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria for the past 3 years as a laboratory technician, last working Saturday, April 18th. Previously, he worked for the Hampton Inn in East Peoria, the Disney Store in Peoria, and the United States Postal Service Remote Encoding Center in Peoria.
Scott was a member of the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps in Rosemont from 1988 to 1992. He loved music and was a great Uncle Scott.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 30, 2009at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. Larry Campbell will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to an education fund for his nieces and nephew in care of CEFCU.
