Sidney M Thompson

Born December 30, 1918 in Dent County, MO to Emmett and Iva (Gibbs) Bonebrake, she married Alfred J. Thompson. He died November 16, 1987. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Judy Hunter and Diane Thompson; two sons, Jimmy Thompson and Kenneth Thompson; two grandsons; two brothers; and three sisters.

Surviving are one son, Jack (Nancy) Thompson of Pekin; one daughter, Mazine (Bill) Trumpy of South Pekin; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Sidney had worked at PDQ Laundry in Pekin and later in the cafeteria at Pekin Community High School West Campus.

She was a member of Community Fellowship Church in South Pekin, and the Ladies of Faith Group at the church.

Sidney enjoyed quilting, gardening, and cooking.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 9, 2014 at Community Fellowship Church in South Pekin. Pastor Dowice Ashley will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.

Arrangements are by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
