

Steve was born December 24, 1944 in Pekin to Alfred and Shirley (Sheridan) Moore. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son-in-law, David Crislip.
Surviving are one daughter, Kelly Crislip of Pasadena, Maryland; one son, Stephen “Todd” (Donde) Moore of Marquette Heights; three grandchildren, Brittany (Alan) Fischer of Pekin, Stephen Crislip and Alex Crislip, both of Pasadena, Maryland and three great-grandchildren, Kellan Woll, Grayden Fischer and Cecilia Fischer, all of Pekin.
Steve was a Vietnam veteran of the United States Army and was able to take part in the Greater Peoria Honor Flight in September 2018.
He had worked in maintenance at Caterpillar, Inc. in Mapleton for 30 years before retiring in 1995. He also owned and operated Moore Physical Equipment Repair in Pekin for 5-plus years.
Steve was an avid collector of replica cars and Hot Wheels. He also enjoyed working on cars, fishing and running the light and sound board at church, the Blues Fest and at Corner Stone Music Festival.
He formerly attended North Parkway Assembly of God and BridgeWay Community Church, both in Pekin.
His memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, January 17, 2025 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Chris Clark will officiate. There will be no visitation. Inurnment will be at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
