

Born July 30, 1965 in Pekin to Byron Lester and Rosetta (Atterberry) Dorsey, he married Lori Ann Eisele on February 3, 1990 in rural Pekin. She survives.
Also surviving are his parents of Pekin; one son, Curtis Dorsey of Pekin; one daughter, Camryn Dorsey of Topeka; one sister, Tammy Magee of Pekin; two nieces, Kristina (Ryan) Sieh and Haley King, both of Pekin; two nephews, Ted (Jessica) Dorsey of Pekin and Dakota Robertson of Spring Bay; one great-nephew; and three great-nieces. He also leaves behind four life-long friends, Chris Powers, Mark Russo, Quinn Shadd, and Jeff Platt.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul and Maudina Atterberry and Marshall and Leda Dorsey; and one uncle, Milford Atterberry.
Terry worked in maintenance at the UAW Senior Citizens Center in Pekin for the past 25 ½ years and was well liked by the residents. Previously, he worked at Weaver’s Chicken in Pekin.
He was a member of Zion Baptist Church in Pekin.
Terry enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and canoeing. He was a good hearted person who was very laid back.
His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 1, 2013 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Charles Everly will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Chanderville Cemetery in Chandlerville.
