

Born September 23, 1940 in Peoria County to Gillock and Jewell (Bewley) Harrison, he married Beverly Kay Bitner on January 13, 1962 in Muscatine, IA. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Garey (Pam) Harrison of Boyleston, IN, Jeff Harrison of Pekin; three daughters, Robbin (Bill) Purdy of Pekin, Shelly (Dixie Hart) Harrison of St. David, Tonya Harrison of Glasford; thirteen grandchildren, Heather Thieke, Shelbie Harrison, Christopher Purdy, Brandon Purdy, Brian Purdy, Megan Purdy, Nicholas Purdy, Sarah Fowler, Saturina Goodwin, Cody Ward, Kandice Wood, Austin Harrison, Quinton Harrison; eleven great grandchildren, Bailey, Rylan, Taylor, Brayden, Brayson, Brantley, Dawson, Faith, Hope, Isabella and Aubrianna. He also leaves his Chihuahua, Lucky.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother and one great grandson, Mason Hale.
Terry had worked for Caterpillar Inc. for 13 years. He then drove trucks for 35 years, retiring in 2008. He drove for several transport companies in the area, last working for ABC Transportation in El Paso. After retirement, he worked for Morton Auto Auction as a driver.
He had been a member of the Banner Volunteer Fire Department for 12 years, serving as Fire Chief the last 8 years.
Terry enjoyed tinkering in his garage, vegetable gardening, and all wildlife. He also loved watching television, particularly old westerns.
There will be no services or visitation. Cremation will be accorded. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
