Therese Marie Campbell

Born June 4, 1952 in Pekin, she was the daughter of Clement Ambrose and Ruth Marie (Rinderknecht) Campbell. Her parents preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Hayden Lee Powers; two brothers, John Albert Campbell and Mark Patrick Campbell; a sister-in-law, Janet Campbell and a nephew, Brad David Campbell.

Surviving are her daughter, Nova (Tyler) Reavley of East Peoria; five grandchildren, Fayelin Reavley, Prudence Reavley, Paisley Reavley, Alistair Reavley and Evangeline Reavley; seven brothers, Larry (Patricia) Campbell of Safety Harbor, Florida, Dan (Mary Anne) Campbell, Michael Campbell, Kevin Campbell, all of Pekin, Christopher Campbell of Colorado, Steve (Carol) Campbell of Rifle, Colorado and Richard (Lisa) Campbell of Springfield and two sisters, Rita (Timothy) Sierra of Pekin and Mary (Clifford) Steele of Nashua, New Hampshire and a sister-in-law, Christine Campbell of Pekin. She also leaves many nieces and nephews who called her Aunt “T”.

Therese was a graduate of the Academy of Our Lady in Peoria, where she sang in the choir. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years.

Therese had the gift of a photographic memory, meticulous handwriting and was known as the family historian. She loved to make crafts, write and especially enjoyed reading to her grandchildren. She also loved music and playing Bingo.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin.

Her funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday, October 6, 2023 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin. Father Michael Andrejek will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin, with the recitation of the Rosary at 4:30 p.m. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Pekin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family for her grandchildren.
