

Born April 14, 1946 in Greensburg, Pennsylvania to Earl and Gladys (Cassidy) Myers, he married Twila Webb on November 4, 1967 in Greensburg, PA.
Surviving are his wife, Twila K. Myers of North Pekin; one son, Thomas Lee (Stephanie) Myers, Jr. of Pekin; three daughters, Sherri Kay (Chris) Sadala of Springfield, Angela Denise Myers of Farmington and Valerie Faith Myers of North Pekin; six grandchildren, Ryan Widby, Tyler Widby, Faith Laswell, Alex Vaccaro, Sierra Myers and Troy Scurlock; one sister, Anna Dickson of Greensburg, Pennsylvania; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and two sisters.
Tom had served in the United States Army and was deployed during the Vietnam War.
He had worked for Builders Square in Peoria for 16 years until their closing. He then worked for Gray Interplant Systems in Peoria as a forklift operator for 15 years, retiring in April 2011.
Tom was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, and loved to watch any and all football games that he could. He also loved classic and sports cars, going to car shows and traveling to Las Vegas. He was a wonderful, devoted husband, father and grandpa and will be missed deeply.
His visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Cremation will be accorded following the visitation.
