Timothy A Thorne

Born July 25, 1968 in Pekin to Terry Lee and Barbara Jean (DeGolyer) Thorne, he married Malinda M. Beal in 1989 in Pekin.

Surviving are his parents of Pekin; one son, Alan Lee Thorne of Pekin; one daughter, Megan Marie Thorne of Pekin; two brothers, Michael L. (Jane) Thorne of Pekin and Patrick S. (Alissa) Thorne of Avon; one sister, Elizabeth J. "Beth" (Dave) Beebe of Pekin and his maternal grandmother, Lois V. DeGolyer of Pekin.

Tim was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Pekin, where he attended the singles group.

His passion was cars and he was a fan of Ford Racing. He was a member of the Early Ford V8 Club of Peoria.

Tim was a warehouseman for Waugh Foods in East Peoria for seven years, last working on August 25th.

His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 31, 2006at First Baptist Church in Pekin. Pastor Mark D. Friday will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, August 30, 2006 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel, and also from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.

Memorial contributions may be made to a fund established for his children in care of Pekin Community Bank.
