William "Bill" Francis Lively Jr.

Born June 24, 1954 in Pekin to William F. and Doris June (Gavol) Lively, Sr., he married Pauline Mary Ramos on January 25, 1995.

Surviving are his wife of 30 years; two sons, Mike (Michaline) Ice of Peoria and Eddy (Debbi) Ice of Metamora; two daughters, Angi Ice of Peoria and April (Josh) Vanderwerf of Pekin; 18 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; one sister and his close friend and fishing buddy, Joe Hoerr on January 30, 2025.

Bill had worked for the City of Pekin for 20-plus years before retiring in 2015. He began his career during high school co-op and continued following his graduation at Pekin Community High School at Emerson Pontiac in Pekin. He also worked at Peoria Board of Trade-Peoria Grain Inspection, Central Illinois Grain Inspection and National Rental. Following retirement from the city, Bill worked as a security guard for Per Mar at Pekin Insurance and Weyhrich Farms in Green Valley.

He loved playing his guitars and enjoyed fishing, golfing and tinkering with RC Cars.

His visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, February 9, 2025 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. There will be no services. Per Bill’s request, everyone is encouraged to wear casual attire.
