Winona Hayden

Born August 11, 1939 in Pekin to George W. and Edna Mae (Layne) Kitchell, she married Robert T. Hayden on August 28, 1965 in Pekin.

Surviving are her husband; 3 sons, James R. (April) Todd and Greg E. Todd, both of Pekin; and Steven E. Hayden of Ft. Myers, Florida; 1 daughter, LaDonna J. (David) Fabian of Helena, Montana;  1 step-daughter, Kay S. Hayden of Ft. Myers;  and 4 grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; 1 infant daughter, Marilyn Todd; and 1 brother, Jack R. Kitchell.

Nonie had worked in the mailroom at the Pekin Daily Times from 1975-80.

She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Pekin.

Nonie enjoyed playing BINGO at the Festival Center in Creve Coeur.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.m., Friday, May 27, 2011 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes and Crematory in Pekin.  Rev. Tim Kruzan will officiate.  Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, May 26th  at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
