I didn't know Capt Duckworth that well as to say I only knew him from our mutual association with the Navigators Military Ministry and only been over to his house for navs events a couple of times, I do know he has a lovely family and although a serious man I knew he was a good man, always helping sailors and non sailors alike. The first military ministry I ran into at my first permanent duty station was the Navigators. I went away on deployment and when I came back while the group was more focused on Norfolk I was glad to reconnect to such a great organization after such a harsh deployment. Oddly enough, Capt Duckworth and 1LT Taylor of the Norfolk Navs along with their teachings helped provide me the Courage and Commitment to continue to Honor the military and move forward, It is truly a sad day when we loose good men like Capt Duckworth.  

I remember Albert as a faithful servant of the Lord who found joy in helping others grow in Christ. I remember how he encouraged me to focus on being a man of God and rejoicing in who God made me to be. He met me where I was and strengthened me in my walk with Christ. 

Albert, I am so sorry to hear of your departure, but I am glad to know that you are with the saints in heaven rejoicing in your savior, Jesus Christ. May the God of all comfort, who keeps count of all of our tears, heal, strengthen, and uplift your precious family in this very difficult time.

Robin, you and your precious children will forever be in our prayers. Faith, family, and friends will help you through this really sad time .     Love you-----GOD BLESS AND KEEP YOU ALL.
