Alma Grund Tennyson, age 86, of Calera, AL passed away on February 22, 2020. She was born on May 27, 1933 in Cullman, AL to William and Lizzie Grund. Alma retired after 25 plus years with Falconer Printing company. She was a devoted Christian and loved dedicating her time to her Church Of God faith.
Alma loved reading her bible, crocheting and most of all spending time with her family, especially her grandbabies. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years Wesley H. Tennyson; children Kevin Jones and Wesley H. Tennyson Jr.; brother, Sonny Grund. Alma leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Marcia Rice; sisters, Elizabeth Adair and Edna Grund; brother, Alford Grund; grandchildren, John W. Rice (Maria), Luke H. Rice (Monica), Wesley H. Tennyson III, Destiney D. Tennyson (Trent Jeters), Kylie Jones, Erin Jones English (Charles); great-grandchildren, Kaleb Tennyson, Anna Lynn Rice, Brandi ,Wesley, and Kayden Tennyson. Visitation will be Thursday, February 27, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a service to follow at Southern Heritage Funeral Home. Committal Service will be at Forest Hill Cemetery concluding service. In lieu of flowers memorial donation may be made to The Foundry;
