Amanda Claire Young

Amanda (Mandi) Claire Young was born in Macon, Georgia on July 28, 1979. She was the second daughter to live amongst four generations of her maternal family. She attended Warner Robins High School and Central High School.

Mandi had an unwavering and unconditional love for her daughter and family and was extremely proud of her daughter’s accomplishments and talents. Mandi was known as the “Animal Whisperer.” All of Mandi’s animals, indoor and outdoor, loved her unconditionally. Mandi was a talented pianist and artist. She loved all genres of music. Mandi could put on a paper or canvas a piece of art that could have been placed in a gallery. She also was an accomplished cook sharing pictures and recipes on her Facebook page and emails.

Mandi leaves on this earth her devoted daughter, Madison Claire Payton; her loving mother and dad, Donna and Kevin Roberts; her faithful sisters, Callie and Natalie Roberts; one nephew, Wesley Roberts; Mandi’s partner of 14 years, Kevin McKinney; her father and wife, Eddie and Mishael Young; her granny, Bonnie Young; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; as well as all of her Facebook friends.

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 30, 3015 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home immediately after the service.
