
Ann Morgan Tingle passed away February 20, 2023 at the age of 72. She was a long-time resident of Pleasant Grove, AL. She is preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Arnold Tingle; parents James Walter Morgan, Sr. and Mildred Roan Morgan; brother James Walter Morgan Jr and sisters Sylvia Watters and Sandra Green. She is survived by her daughters Michele Morgan of Hoover and Carrie Watson (Lon) of McCalla; her brother Corey Morgan (Renia) of Hueytown and her sister Karen Salter (Larry) of Birmingham; her sister-in- law Eugenia Morgan of Pleasant Grove and brother-in-law Buddy Watters of Pleasant Grove. Ann leaves behind cherished grandchildren: Brittney McIntosh (Mitch) of Chelsea, Micah Morgan (Kimma) of Nashville, Rachel Gunn (Brent) of Birmingham, Matt Watson (Jennifer) of Vestavia, Catherine Hall (Cody) of Birmingham. Ann also had numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved deeply. Ann leaves behind, as well, Arnold’s daughter Patsy (Charles) McClendon and granddaughter Ginger McClendon of Corner. Ann’s great-grandchildren, who were so very special to her are: AJ, Cayden, Chris and Andy Rittmann; Katelyn and Sarah Gunn; Emma Kate and John Louis Watson; Lonna Grace, Joseph, Evie and Liam Hall.
She was employed by US Steel in Fairfield, Alabama for many years until her retirement ten years ago. After retirement Ann moved to Chelsea, Alabama to be close to the family that adored her and that she so adored.
She enjoyed life to its fullest. She shared a passion for travel with her husband Arnold. They traveled the world while developing a love of fine cuisine and diverse cultural experiences. They found great pleasure in sharing their experiences with their grandchildren and anyone else who dared to join them. You never knew what to expect when you were in the company of Ann Tingle, but you always left with a good story to tell.
She was beautiful, smart, loving adventurous, and plucky. We will never forget her wit and charm.
