She was born in Sipsey, Alabama on July 20, 1930, to the late Robert Olen Phillips and Nelle Lawley Phillips. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Charles D. Long III; her granddaughter, Laura Long; and her brother, Robert Phillips.
Left to cherish her memory are her four children, Lynn Long and wife, Lurie; Charley Long and wife, Mindy; John Long and wife Patti; and Margaret Forsythe and husband Phillip; her grandchildren, Rob Long (Dana); Ryan Long (Cindy); Bruce Taylor (Lauren); Michael Taylor (Ashley); Jason Taylor; Leigh Anne Lynch (Eric); Britney Cowart (Dave); Chad Long; Jonathan Long; Thomas Long (Shannon); Andrew Long; Michelle Jones (Rob); and Molly Partlow (Kevin); along with great-grandchildren, Jake Long; Abby Long; Walker Long; Marshall Long; Reid Taylor; Emily Taylor; Madaline Taylor; Grace Taylor; Nate Taylor; Alex Taylor; Annah Taylor; Ella Taylor; Olivia Taylor; Hollis Taylor; Otis Taylor; Ellie Lynch; James Lynch; JJ Lynch; Lillian Cowart; Anna Cowart; RJ Jones; Phillip Jones; Annelle Jones; Maryanne Partlow; Neil Partlow; and Margaret Partlow. She is also survived by a host of extended family and loving friends.

A lifelong member of the United Methodist Church, she loved God, her family, and her friends. Annelle was loved by all who knew her and will be dearly missed.
A Celebration of Annelle’s Life will be held at Ridout’s Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama on Friday, January 6, 2022, at 2:00 pm with a visitation beginning at 1:00 pm.
