Born on December 22, 1945, Tony graduated with a bachelors degree from the University of North Alabama and an MBA from Troy State. Tony was a U.S. Army veteran who served in Vietnam. He was married to Joan Howard Canales for 57 years.
Tony passionately served the Lord, and he was active with World Bible School. He was a member of the Church of Christ attending at West Huntsville, Cox Boulevard, Waverly, McKenzie, Florence Boulevard, and Mayfair.
Tony is preceded in death by his loving wife, Joan Howard Canales, and his parents, Lionel A. Canales and Letha South Canales. Survivors include Tony's children, Christopher Canales, Susanna Canales Palmer, Kathryn Canales Fetner, and Rebecca Canales Williams; and grandchildren, BreAna Werner, Wyatt Werner, Sam Fetner, Will Fetner, Owen Canales, and Isabelle Canales of Alabama.
A Celebration of Life for Tony Canales will begin at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 9, 2025 at Mayfair Church of Christ, 1095 Carl T Jones Drive SE, Huntsville, AL 35802.
