Beverly L. Butler

Beverly Lynn Bush Butler, age 69, of Pelham, AL passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on September 1, 2019. Beverly was born in Columbus, GA on June 6, 1950. She graduated from Chevala High School and then went on to receive a degree in Physical Education from the University of Montevallo. Beverly continued her passion for teaching and worked in education for 15 years.

She married the love of her life Gary B. Butler on August 21, 1971 and would soon begin their beautiful family together. Among her love for her church Lakeside Baptist, she also had a passion for gardening and reading. Beverly's family was above all and they all knew they were top priority, especially her grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents Douglas and Rebecca Bush. Beverly is survived by her loving husband Gary B. Butler; children, Angie Seabolt (Jeff) of Chelsea, AL, Buffy Bachus (Warren) of Chelsea, AL, Jeremy Butler (Janet) of Calera, AL, Carrie Cherry (West) of Helena, AL;grandchildren, Dylan, Morgan, and Emma Grace Seabolt, Olivia and Lillie Bachus, Kayla and Trevor Butler, Mason and Logan Cherry; Sister Cindy Benson of Andalusia, AL. Visitation will be Thursday, September 5, 2019 from 6:00 pm to 8:00pm at Southern Heritage Funeral Home. A celebration of Beverly's life will be on September 6, 2019 at 11:00 at Lakeside Baptist Church with visiting time one hour before service time. Burial will follow at Southern Heritage Cemetery.
