He was born on December 30, 1952, to the late Billy and Susie Quinn. Bill attended Jefferson State and Jacksonville State University and received his nursing degree. He was a founding brother of Sigma Nu at Jacksonville State. Bill was a registered nurse at Carraway Hospital and UAB Hospital. He retired with over 45 years of service.
Bill spent his time doing the things he loved such as fishing, camping, relaxing at the lake, watching Auburn football, and enjoying a cigar and a nice glass of whiskey. However, nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 46 years, Jackie Quinn; his two children, Randy (Stacie) Quinn and Kristi (Eric) Stripling; his grandchildren, Riley Quinn; Makenzie Quinn; Bentley Foulk; Ava Stripling; and Olivia Stripling. He is also survived by his brothers, Terry Quinn and Danny Quinn.
Visitation will be held at Ridout’s Southern Heritage Funeral Home on Thursday, March 17, 2022, from 1:00 – 2:00 pm with a memorial service beginning at 2:00 pm.
