With heavy hearts and great sadness, we announce the unexpected passing of Sgt. Brandon Charles Ladner, 27, on September 9, 2014. A U.S. Marine Corps Veteran who served his country proudly, "B. Lad" was a student at the University of Alabama, Birmingham, pursuing a degree in healthcare management.
Brandon was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Ferrall Ladner; maternal grandfather, Charles Potts; and uncle, Charles "Chuck" Dawson.
Survivors include Brandon's mother, Renee Lipsey; his father, Michael Ladner (Addie); brother, Chris Ladner; sister, Nicole Harris (TJ); paternal grandmother, Jean Ladner; maternal grandmother, Sylvia Clark; many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; step-father, Bob Lipsey (Barbara); step-brothers and step-sisters; and many more family and friends who love Brandon and miss him dearly.
Visitation will be 12-2 p.m. on Friday, September 12, 2014 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama. The funeral service and burial will be at 2:45 p.m. on Friday, September 12, 2014 at Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo.
