

It is with great sadness that the family of Carl Johnston Mosher, Jr. announces his passing at the age of 57. He recently lost his battle with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma at MD Anderson Cancer Center, on Sunday, October 21, 2018. Born in Wichita Falls, Texas, and raised in a military family, he eventually settled in Miami Lakes, Florida. He attended the University of Florida, worked as a police officer with Metro-Dade Police Department in Miami for 14 years and Hoover Police Department for 10 years. He was most recently a manager at Baumhower’s Restaurant. He was loved by his employees, colleagues and customers. Known as a “gentle giant,” Carl was a humble, passionate, kind and fun-loving family man who was a friend to many.
Carl is preceded in death by his father Carl Sr. and was joined by his mother Catherine the day after his passing, on October 22, 2018. Carl will be lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend of 28 years Robin, daughters Marissa and Allie of whom he was immensely proud, sisters Jennifer and Michelle, brother Edward as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
A Funeral Mass in his honor will be celebrated on October 31 at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, 5514 Double Oak Lane, Birmingham. The visitation will be held at 10am followed by mass at 11am.
